The ‘Best of the Best’ gather in Venlo to crown the European Dealer Champion 2024

Following intense national heats, the crème de la crème of Europe’s casino dealing professionals are set to descend upon the biggest international stage, the European Casino Association’s European Dealer Championship 2024 (EDC), held this year at the stunning Casino Venlo, The Netherlands. 

The tournament begins on June 3rd and culminates after three days of thrilling skill-based competition with the awarding of the EDC Champion 2024 on June 5th. Since its inaugural event in 2007, the European Dealer Championship has visited 15 countries and welcomed 500 contestants and thousands of spectators from across Europe and beyond. The much-anticipated Holland Casino Venlo event brings the thrilling competition to one of the most innovative new casino locations in Europe.

Demonstrating the European Casino Association’s unwavering commitment to excellence within the industry, this highly anticipated event will feature 37 exceptional dealers hailing from 21 European countries as they vie for the top title before a discerning international audience. 

The ECA European Dealer Championship, Europe's foremost and longest-standing dealer-skills competition, brings together elite croupiers handpicked at the national level to compete on the international stage. These exceptional professionals engage in a riveting knock-out tournament that tests their technical prowess, game control, hospitality acumen, and unshakeable nerves. 

To be crowned the European Champion, competitors must showcase their astute decision-making, lightning-fast reflexes, and seamless ability to balance chip management, mathematics, and engaging social interactions. The dealers will be meticulously evaluated by a dedicated panel of impartial international judges, each experienced professional dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in the gaming industry. EDC jurors play a vital role in evaluating participant performances, thoroughly examining game control, communication, and technical skills. This rigorous assessment guarantees a fair and transparent competition while providing invaluable feedback for participants to hone their abilities and thrive in their careers.

The European Dealer Championship not only highlights the remarkable achievements of our dealers but also celebrates the customer-focused essence of the land-based casino industry. This event brings together the European casino sector for three days filled with genuine camaraderie and exceptional competition. Judges at the event will assess participants based on their technical skills, precision, and overall craftsmanship. More importantly, the championship is a celebration of the social connections, enjoyment, and unique entertainment that only the land-based gaming environment can offer. Taking place in Venlo, this event continues to build on nearly two decades of history, growing in size, scale, and international prestige. At the European Dealer Championship 2024, participants will be competing for impressive prize money. The champion will claim the title of European Dealer Champion and receive a grand prize of € 5,000. The second and third place finishers will be awarded € 3,000 and € 1,500, respectively. In addition to the main prizes, there are five Skill Challenges, each offering a prize of € 500 for the winners, showcasing the diverse talents and expertise of the competitors.
