Guido Berghmans

Guido Berghmans has worked in the casino industry since 1979, initially in Aachen, Germany, as a croupier/dealer.

In 1983 he started to work in CASINO 2OOO, Luxembourg, and in 1995 he was appointed Casino Director. Since 2002 he is General Manager of CASINO 2OOO.

Luxembourg is a founding member of the ECA in 2005, and was previously a member of the predecessor organization ECF, European Casino Forum.

Between 2006 and 2014 he was Vice Chairman of the ECA. In this role, he participated in numerous projects, meetings and working groups such as strategy, policy, AML, EU regulation of online gaming and player protection.From 2015 to 2021 he was ECA Vice President, responsible for Technology.

Mentor of the ECA Technology Working Group, which among other things deals with the fight against illegal gambling, and has developed documents on security-related aspects of slot machines, fraud in casinos, etc.
