The European Casino Association (ECA), registered in Belgium at Square de Meeûs 38-40, 1000 Brussels, and with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (CBE) under number 0878.519.102 places great importance on the protection of your personal data. ECA is committed to comply with all applicable data protection laws and regulations. ECA is responsible for processing your personal data.

The following Privacy Notice will provide you with information about the personal data that is collected and how it is processed and used. By visiting ECA’s website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice.

This Privacy Notice applies to personal data that is collected when visiting ECA’s website or making use of ECA’s products or services. Please note that if you make use of services provided by third parties, only the Privacy Notice of these third parties shall apply to the personal data collected via these services.

We collect some of your personal data, i.e. data which allow us to identify you as an individual. In the framework of our operations, ECA collects and processes the following types of personal data:

  • Information on event attendance, including event photographs;
  • Job applicants’ documents.

We limit our request to personal data that are necessary to provide you with the products or services you express interest in. We do not collect sensitive personal information from you without having first obtained your consent.

You can visit our website without providing any personal data. However, please note that if you do not want to provide your personal data, we may not be able to provide some services or products offered by ECA.

3. How we use the information we collect

ECA uses your personal data only:

  • To inform you about ECA’s products and services or third party products and services that ECA believes you might be interested in (e.g. sending of newsletters or marketing communication) provided – where necessary – you would have consented to receiving such communication;
  • To organize events and manage membership;
  • To manage the website’s content;
  • To handle job applicants’ documents.

ECA does not share your personal data with strategic partners or third parties. However, we may share your information with certain external service providers who perform limited services on ECA’s behalf and with selected business partners, if necessary to be able to provide you with our products and services.

We will not retain your personal data for a period exceeding what is necessary to fulfill the purposes set out above. In any case, the retention period shall not exceed five (5) years after the last use of your personal data.
