ECA Vice-President Dietmar Hoscher wins award at Global Regulatory Awards 2017
Vienna/London (OTS) – Comprehensive compliance is a critical requirement for sustainability and innovation in the gaming industry. This was the central message at the 2017 GamblingCompliance Global Regulatory Awards Gala in London. With offices in London, Washington and Taipei, GamblingCompliance regularly analyzes the trends in the global gaming industry. One of their findings is that virtually no other industry is confronted with such far-reaching and complex changes in its regulatory environment.
These changes place high demands on companies that conduct their business responsibly. Yet the efforts required to meet these challenges are rarely ever acknowledged in daily business life. For this reason, GamblingCompliance decided to introduce a series of awards for particular excellence in the field of compliance and responsible gaming. The winners of the awards, which were presented for the first time in 2017, were selected by an independent jury of experts.
At a special Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner in London, managers who demonstrate excellence in compliance topics like anti-corruption, the prevention of money laundering, data protection, CSR or responsible gaming – and thus protect the integrity of the organization they represent and the gaming industry as a whole – were recognized and celebrated. The awards were presented by British TV personality, Hugh Dennis, who starred in the cult series Spitting Image.
Casinos Austria Director Dietmar Hoscher is Chief Compliance Manager of the Year
The award in the category “Chief Compliance Office of the Year 2017” went to Casinos Austria Director Dietmar Hoscher. He received this prestigious award both for his corresponding role in the Casinos Austria Management Board, where he is responsible among other things for Compliance, Responsible Gaming and Corporate Responsibility, as well as for his work as Vice President of the European Casino Association (ECA). Hoscher strives to promote compliance in this association of licensed, landbased casinos in Europe, where he heads the working groups on Corporate Social Responsibility & Responsible Gaming and Regulatory & Legal Affairs.
“This award is a great honor for my team and myself, and above all an impressive acknowledgement of compliance management at Casinos Austria,” said Hoscher, who is also a sought-after speaker and industry expert. “The Casinos Austria Group has clearly chosen the
right path by permanently anchoring correctness and responsibility in our corporate principles. It is clear now that these efforts have been noticed around the world and that the good example we set has been recognized,” concluded Hoscher.
