The ECA and its members understand and recognize that training is crucial in order to learn all the necessary skills to become a good and qualified dealer. The ECA to this end promotes training and supports its members by constantly trying to improve professionalism in casinos across Europe.
The European Dealer Championship underlines this ethos whilst at the same time provides a perfect opportunity to exchange information, expand networks, and meet with friends.
The championship provides European dealers with the opportunity to showcase their high levels of professionalism and promote best practices in creating a welcoming, fun, safe and fair environment in European casinos.
March 2007 saw Spain host the ECA’s inaugural European Dealer Championship, which celebrated a high level of professionalism from dealers across Europe. 18 contestants representing ten European countries (Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, and Sweden) participated in the final with contestants demonstrating their excellent skill levels and hospitality techniques which embody the European casino experience.
Italy hosted the Championship in April 2008. This event comprised 24 contestants from 16 member countries of the ECA. Once again, the skill levels and competitive spirit of the contestants throughout the championship was exceptional.
The third consecutive edition took place in April 2009 in Sweden. This time 30 contestants from 19 member countries completed for win the prestigious title of European Dealer Champion. In 2010 the championship took place in Vilnius, Lithuania. 33 Top dealers from across Europe, were present in Vilnius, Lithuania. The fifth edition took place in Serbia on 10 & 11 May 2011.
In 2012 the European Dealer Championship will take place in Helsinki Finland.
