Commission set to consider EU legislation on gambling
11 February 2010The ECA strongly welcomes Commissioner Michel Barnier's announcement made today at the occasion of a debate with Members of the European Parliament that he intends to address gambling services in the EU by issuing a policy paper on the matter before the Autumn 2010.

ECA Welcomes Santa Casa Ruling of the ECJ
8 September 2009The European Casino Association (ECA) strongly welcomes the ruling of the European Court of Justice (ECJ), in the case of the Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional and Bwin against Portugal (C-42/07), which upholds the right of EU Member States to maintain restrictions on the provision of online gambling services within their territory in order to safeguard responsible gambling and combat fraud and crime.
