Comments from the ECA on the ERA conference on gambling

While in light of the current situation of the gambling sector in the EU the ECA appreciates the initiative taken by the Czech Presidency to organise this gambling conference in cooperation with ERA, it is disappointed about the significant shortcomings of this conference, in particular its rather unbalanced approach with respect to the topics and the speakers.

Nevertheless, the ECA is determined to contribute pro-actively to the European debate on gambling in a positive and constructive way and in that sense we feel committed to advance a number of clarifications to the topics that will be discussed during the conference.
